Terms and conditions of use

1. About Us

Howdy Hides is a UK-based sole trader business selling natural sheepskins, cow hides, goat hides, and related home decor items.

2. Products

  • All hides are natural products.
  • Natural markings, scars, branding marks, variations in colour, shape, and texture are normal characteristics and not defects.
  • Each hide is unique.
  • Measurements are approximate.
  • Product images are representative of the actual item; however, colours may vary slightly due to screen settings.

3. Pricing & Payment

  • All prices are listed in GBP (£).
  • Payment is required in full at the time of purchase.
  • We reserve the right to change prices at any time.

4. Shipping & Delivery

  • Orders are dispatched within 5–7 working days.
  • Delivery is made via Parcel2go.
  • Delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed.
  • Risk passes to the customer upon confirmed delivery.

5. Returns & Refunds

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, customers have the right to cancel their order within 14 days of receiving goods.

  • Returns must be requested within 14 days of delivery.
  • Items must be unused and in original condition.
  • The buyer is responsible for return postage costs unless the item is faulty or damaged.
  • Refunds will be issued within 14 days of receiving the returned item.
  • 6. Faulty or Damaged Goods

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015:

  • Goods must be as described, fit for purpose, and of satisfactory quality.
  • If an item is faulty, customers are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund.
  • Customers must notify us within 30 days of receiving a faulty item for a full refund.

Natural characteristics of hides (scars, markings, variation) are not considered faults. All hides are natural products and may contain variations in colour, texture, markings, scars or branding. These characteristics are inherent to genuine animal hides and are not considered defects under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by UK law:

  • We shall not be liable for indirect or consequential losses.
  • Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability which cannot be excluded under English law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Howdy Hides shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss.

8. Governing Law

If a dispute arises, we encourage customers to contact us first at hello@howdyhides.co.uk to resolve the issue informally.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
